great central spot for exploring visalia's parks and landmarks
I had a wonderful stay in a king suite that featured a huge rain shower head and comfy bed. plus, the rooftop restaurant and bar offered amazing views that made relaxing after a day of city strolling even better. if you're a single traveler like me, the friendly staff and easy parking were perfect for getting right into exploring the nearby fallen monarch and horseshoe bend, both just a few steps away.

The heated pool was amazing—a perfect way to unwind in winter! The decor is stunning too, but the check-in parking was a bit stressful. Overall, loved my stay! 🌊

We had a fantastic time at the pool party where we chilled out while the kids enjoyed splashing around. The Lakes Trail was a superb family adventure, walking among the giant sequoias made it feel like we were in another world!
My wife says that a family lounge area would be great.

The attended details of the Art Deco design created a unique charm throughout the hotel, making it a standout experience. The rooftop bar served excellent food and the rooms featured extremely comfortable beds, ensuring a great night's sleep. However, the high rating could not be reflected in the dining experience at the rooftop restaurant, which didn’t meet expectations for variety and quality. Overall, this is a lovely place ideally situated for exploring the nearby attractions.

Opulent stay with breathtaking views
We had an amazing one-night stay in a King Suite, enjoying luxurious decor and a fantastic walk-in rain shower that felt transformative. The rooftop restaurant surprised us with its excellent menu and stunning panoramic views of the Sierra, making it a must-visit. The overall atmosphere was charming and welcoming, though the shower could use some improvements. Service was top-notch, ensuring we felt pampered throughout our visit.

I stayed for one night and appreciated the attention to detail in the decor. The room featured a comfy bed and a large rain shower head. I enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and found parking easy. I noticed the Art Deco design which reminded me of New York's classic architecture.
My experience with the front desk staff was lacking when I needed assistance with the TV. I waited for help that never came.

The atmosphere was great and I loved the art deco design that stayed true to the building's history. The rooftop bar had a wonderful ambiance, and the pool area looked inviting. However, I found the smart TV in the room difficult to operate and it lacked various streaming apps. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and I would definitely return.

The Darling is beautifully decorated with a charming Art Deco style, making it feel both elegant and comfortable. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including easy access to the lobby from the securely parked area, which is ideal for seniors.
Reduce road noise, especially for first-floor rooms.

No microwave in the suite!!! The light switches were overly complicated. Noise from the fridge and surrounding rooms made for a less than restful night!!!
